Megan has joined the Catchment Solutions team with experience in marine and freshwater monitoring.
Megan graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours Class 1 – Marine Biology), focusing on marine ecology of Syngnathids and seagrasses. Following graduation, she spent three years living on the Great Barrier Reef as a Scientific Officer for Heron Island Research Station, which helped develop her passion for protecting marine life.
Megan has also obtained a Graduate Certificate (Environmental Management and Sustainability) and worked in fine scale water quality monitoring and environmental compliance. This has given her a well-rounded understanding of environmental challenges in Queensland. Megan is excited to continue expanding her skills and contribute to projects, creating positive environmental outcomes for the Mackay region.
